May 10 - After open heart surgery for valve repair, Joe Beyer is back better than new, at least physically, but will he remember how to fly given all the time away,,anesthesia and the protein shakes?  Well, the answer is … On 10 May Joe flew for the first time since Oct 2007 – One happy pilot back in a 103.  Now with Jack Goritski on board for one of the check flights, smiles continue (expect for Jack of course – his smiles are on the inside).  Returning after his first flight Joe says “it’s great to be back!”  It’s great to have you back Joe – PGC wasn’t the same without you. May 17 - Bill Harrison works at Doylestown hospital and is a good friend of many Hilltown Police Officers. Bill unfortunately has terminal cancer. Officer Mike Sandt contacted Phil Klauder via Alan Duckett and asked if PGC could give Bill a glider flight. Apparently the idea came up in a “make a wish” conversation. Phil told Officer Sandt that PGC would provide the ride, and it would be our treat. Bob Lacovara volunteered to be the G103 pilot for Bill. (Photos by Klaus Esser)
